My new CALOI bicycle

Okay guys, 

Well it is getting late here and I am getting a bit tired but I just wanted to post a little something about my day.

This morning my husband and I went to the centro and guess what? He bought me a new bicycle - CALOI which is well known in Brazil. I absolutely love it! We also got some extra paint brushes and paint for when next we decide to pursue of finding our talent as 'artists' ... it's hidden.. very far within :-) 

Well he had to end up going to work so I came home and when my bike was delivered a friend came over and we went riding. I was scared because the last time I rode a bicycle I was around 10 or 11. So my friend - Ana Licia - went along and she's really nice - she was patient and told me all about my new CALOI bike... what to do and what not to do! Thanks Ana!


I was a little sad I did not get to share my first riding experience on my new bike with my husband but I know he wanted me to go and try it out. Well the rest my day was fun to - went to the mall with friends and now I am here .. ready to go to bed! 


I'll post pics of my bike another day! Just wanted to share my good news!

So on my new favorite website - www.webanswers.com, I saw a lot of references to www.hubpages.com so I decided to go check it out and I like the site. So I signed up a profile and wrote my first article for it. Wow, this internet - it sure keeps me busy!

My latest ONLINE Addiction :-)

Good Morning World, 


Hope all is well wherever you are! Today I decided I'll share a little bit about my newest online addiction 
which I mentioned already in my last post. 


I am sure we can all remember the days of ICQ and then MSN Messenger which was all we did back then - chat all the time! This world wide web - its a wonderful thing (when used for good and not evil). Well after that came Hi5 and then the best of all that is still going strong - www.facebook.com! I am one who is not ashamed to admit - I am or should I say .. was addicted to FB! I would spend hours checking my facebook page and then checking out my friends pages - basically 'minding their business' :-) that's the reason most people use it right?


Well now, I've moved on to something called webanswers - at http://www.webanswers.com! Somehow, after spending hours on this site I don't feel as though I've wasted half my day like I feel when I use facebook. I use webanswers to respond to questions people post and I've even asked a few myself. It is a good site to learn from others, their experiences and just tidbits of information. Also, you learn a lot just answering questions, like I've mentioned in my last posting about Olives and President JFK! 


So to all my facebook friends - if you are wondering where the heck I've disappeared to - now you know! I'm still online but just elsewhere now! Oh and today I found a great website by being on webanswers, which I will speak more about later. It's http://www.yousaytoo.com where there is a great listing of blogs of all kinds and so much more. But more on that later. Right now I have to go do my housewife duties and tidy up, cook lunch and then I'll be back :-) 


OMG before I go - yesterday I went to do my eyebrows and the lady took out most of the little bit I had to begin with! Me and my poor Portuguese! All I usually do is point to my eyebrows, smile and give the thumbs up and hope they get waxed properly. Yesterday I made the mistake of going by a different place from the one I usually go to and not only was it more expensive...I came back with a lot less eyebrows than I went in with!

Fulfilling a request made by a friend....

Okay so the name of my blog is after all "Leandraluv ... Life's Moments" so I guess you can expect that I will write all about my life.. my daily activities and what not. Well I did not get the time to post anything significant on my blog this weekend and I had a horrible experience with my computer yesterday. I received a comment from a good friend who apparently likes my blog :-) (thanks) and who checked it only to find an album with some nature pics. This would not do/cut it, I was told. So here I am .. ready to give a recap of my weekend. 

This weekend in Macae was an uneventful one. My husband had to end up working on Saturday which pretty much left me with time to be on my computer so I ended up spending most of the day on my new favorite website (and NOPE it's not facebook) .. it's www.webanswers.com where I pretty much spend my time answering questions about lots of different things and I ask some questions too. I am learning little things here and there like for instance President JFK was the 35th President of th USA and was the youngest to die .. killed only after about 1000 days of being in office! I also read up on the Greek Goddess of War - Athena and uuum what else did I learn... oh yeah Starbucks and McDonalds do do charity work, the Olive is a fruit and that there are some cool names starting with the letter "Q". 

Okay so enough about my favorite website. I actually joined that site because I can earn money from answering questions if my answer is good and gets awarded. You can earn money via GoogleAdsense. I figured.. if I am going to waste time online.. why not do something that I can earn a little money with.. instead of spending all day on facebook! Mine you .. it's not much... pennies on some days but I feel like I've accomplished something!! I know you must be laughing at me by now. Maybe I miss working. Who knows? I know I did enjoy my last really good job with excellent pay and travelling opportunities. Now?? Well today I earned 0.08cents US and I was jumping up and down telling my husband about it when he came home for lunch! Imagine that!!! 

Where was I going with this? Oh yeah.. it was on this site that I found out about having your own blog and earning money from blogging as well. So I decided to join only to realize that I had an account which I signed up 2 years ago and never did a single thing with it. So I fixed it up and well I am actually enjoying it now!

Okay so back to my weekend. Well Saturday night we looked at TV .. didn't feel like doing anything much and on Sunday we just went to the grocery, decided to make chicken lasagna which we did together and then watched Harry Potter 2. It was our first time making lasagna so we were happy with it .. came out good actually! That evening we had two visitors ... I'll call them "the A twin bikers" and we shared some laughs. Oh wait I forgot to mentioned we bathe in the sea sometime in between there and spent some time walking. That's about it! Definitely not an exciting weekend. But we did make some plans for next weekend and sometime soon to visit an island via a boat that's not far from here and to go to Rio to see some of the sights! 

So that's my blog update for today. Hope you like it. Oh and Marcille, with reference to your question on marriage - I am a newlywed so I can't go giving advice just yet but I do think that your marriage will only survive based on the experiences that you share and the 'work' that you put in. Let me make a year first (which is pretty soon) and then I'll see what else I have to say on this topic :-)
